Eurokars Environmental Policy

1. Objective

Eurokars Group is a well-established, multi-national, multi-franchise automotive dealership group headquartered in Singapore with businesses in Indonesia, Australia, and China. We strongly believe that good sustainability practices are paramount for business growth over the long term. At Eurokars Group, we are dedicated to building a sustainable future by actively expanding efforts that align with the principles of environmental stewardship. The Eurokars Group Environmental Policy (“Policy”) sets out our approach on how we support resource efficiency and minimise adverse environmental impact.

2. Scope

This Policy is implemented across Eurokars Group’s operations in all countries where we have a presence. All companies encompassed under the Eurokars Group are to abide by this Policy. Apart from being responsible for reducing waste, and for complying fully with the initiatives and goals established by Eurokars Group, employees are encouraged to come forth with suggestions for further waste reduction and/or sustainable initiatives in their own work areas and in any other areas that they are familiar with.

3. Governance Policy

The Sustainability Working Committee (“the Committee”) comprises employee representatives across different brands and business divisions within Eurokars Group. The Committee is the owner of this Policy which is approved by the senior management of Eurokars Group. In order to stay abreast of changing circumstances and to keep in line with our sustainability objectives, this Policy and sustainability targets will be reviewed annually by the Committee.

4. Communication of Policy

This Policy shall be communicated to all stakeholders, including but not limited to employees, suppliers, business partners, customers, and published on all our official Eurokars Group webpages.

  • 5.3 Resource Efficiency

At Eurokars Group, we endeavour to optimise resource efficiency through the following ways:

    • 5.3.1 Reduce electricity/energy consumption by conserving the use of basic utilities such as lighting, air-conditioning, minimising water consumption, powering down electronic devices, and switching off power plugs when not in use.

    • 5.3.2 Adopting green building measures where possible in the development of new facilities or renovation of existing properties.

    • 5.3.3 Reduce overall usage of paper by exploring and implementing paperless software solutions and consider the usage of eco-efficient paper from sustainability sourced suppliers where needed.

    • 5.3.4 Reduce environmental impact by reducing non-essential travel and maximizing the use of alternative means of internal and external communication through the use of technology such as video conferencing.

    • 5.3.5 Educate, promote and advocate for the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials and waste among the employees such as investing in and encouraging the use of recycling bins and the separation of waste, using double-sided printing, use of recycled paper, and opting for reusable stationeries (i.e., refills for stationeries, rechargeable batteries, etc.,) and reusable cutleries (i.e., plates, mugs, and utensils).

  • 5.4 Monitoring and Review

In monitoring the progress and effectiveness of our sustainability initiatives, Eurokars Group tracks electricity and water consumption, recycling rates and other relevant metrics.

  • 5.5 Collaborating with Stakeholders

We aim to create a culture of sustainability by providing information, training opportunities and initiatives to engage our employees and other stakeholders to take an active part in environmental protection. As we understand that environmental protection spans across the supply chain, we are mindful when it comes to engaging with new suppliers, by pro-actively looking out for potential partners who operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Eurokars Group is open to collaboration opportunities with organizations in our drive towards promoting sustainability in our community.
